Garmin Nuvi 1310T
Pros: Easy to set up and use for someone that has never used one before like me. Cons: Battery life seems short Review: I bought this to bring myself into the 21st century and move the map to the boot of the car, just cant totally throw it away yet!I read lots of reviews and decided to go for this model because of BlueTooth, ease of use and some complimentary reviews. I like the larger screen, the voice is clear and the map is so easy to follow. I tried it first on routes that I know so I could get used to the way it directs you. This process was worth while as I notice that tight bends on the same road, it tells you to turn!! Some roads had names mentioned rather than the number. My reason for writing this review is to point out how this Sat Nav came to be a real benefit this week, only 3 days after its purchase.Due to a family issue I needed to drive from Southend in Essex, all the way to a University in Chichester pick up a family member and then drive back again asap. All quite scary as I only had the postcode for the university. After inputting the postcode I set off, the sat nav took me straight to the car park area by simply listening to the guidance, I had no idea where I was or where I was going. This has already paid for itsself by this one journey alone as without it I would have taken time to plan the journey, all of this was a race against time. My only complaint was the battery life as at a vital time on the return journey my battery was low, this resulted in having to grapple with the battery in car charger. No big deal but something to consider.I hope this reveiew helps anyone that is looking to make the leap to sat nav. There are lots on the market and I am sure that you can pay lots of money for big features. The Garmin 1310T has been a very good buy already. |
