PowaKaddy Freeway II
Pros: With the lithium battery, the trolley is lightweight and easy to push whilst waiting for the motor to 'kick in'. The power meter is a very useful tool for obvious reasons. Cons: The machine has set speeds that dictate to the user at which speed to travel. My previous powakaddy had a variable speed adjustment that I could alter instantly to adjust to differing speed requirements - a much better facility!! Review: Whilst the looks of the Powakaddy FW11 are much improved, without the lithium battery, the new model is not as user friendly as the old one. The speed control is the main issue and one that I'm sure the company will address with the next model. I have had to pay in the region of £ 30.00 to have what has been described as an 'upgrade'to change the speed variables on my machine. I would therefore strongly recommend that Powakaddy revert to the multi-variable control that was provided on previous models. The FW11 includes a number of features that are frankly quite 'gimmicky'. These include a clock, a speedometer and distance travelled facility to assess how far the ball has been struck. However, the battery level meter is a great addition. |
