Villa Maria Private Bin Rosé 2012, East Coast

Sourced from several vineyards throughout the east coast of New Zealand's north island, principally Hawkes Bay and Gisborne. The wine's delicate colour is achieved by allowing only half the wine to rest on the grape skins for around 24 hours. Pale and delicate, yet nicely defined, the wine offers aromas of wild strawberries and ripe forest fruits. Medium-bodied for a rosé, with a fine balance between lush fruit and refreshing acidity.
